Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 25 April 2026
These terms govern your use of Slow News ("we", "us", "our"), operated as a sole trader in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Slow News is a news digest service that delivers curated email summaries of current affairs. We offer a free weekly digest and paid personalised tiers (weekly and daily). The service is available internationally. By using the service from outside the UK, you agree that these terms, governed by English law, apply to your use. The service is provided "as is" and we may change, suspend, or discontinue it at any time with reasonable notice.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to create a paid account. The free digest is available to anyone with a valid email address.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@slownews.email if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are shown in GBP or USD depending on your region. UK prices include any applicable VAT. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice.
5. Refunds
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact hello@slownews.email and we will review it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to harvest content for commercial redistribution, attempt to reverse-engineer the pipeline, or share your account with others. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
7. Intellectual property
The digest content we produce is owned by us. You may share individual digest excerpts for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Source articles remain the property of their original publishers.
8. Limitation of liability
The digest is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal, financial, or professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
